THE DRESS is an ongoing project that began in 2019. It’s pretty self-explanatory - each person is in the same dress, posed however they’d like, with the image composed in a similar fashion, all taken on the same camera. What’s come from this so far is a greater conversation about gender and identity as well as a snapshot of chapters in Malindi’s life through her friends. THE DRESS, Volume I, is the first print installment of the work, capturing the first 5 years of this portrait project. 42 color images, 52 pages total. Self published.
